Yogi baby

I have really enjoyed my girls this week. Despite a nightly battle of Caroline versus Milk of Magnesia, she has reminded me what a sweet heart she has and how quickly she is growing into a "pre-kidder". Cate's personality continues to blossom, and, like her sister, Cate loves to laugh and go through my shoe closet! She has more big teeth coming in. I am amazed at how much they fight and by how much they subconsciously share with the other.

I am behind on new pictures but tonight Cate cracked me up with her Downward Facing Dog!

Survival of the Fittest.

It's not that they were in a race to brush their teeth but rather who got the most space at the top of the stool.

In the last few weeks I've watched a sisterly bond grow between my two daughters, and perhaps nothing was as sweet as witnessing a few days ago #2 run to #1 to give her repeated hugs after she hadn't seen her all day. I've been surprised at how much they already fight! Cate's usual defense mechanism is pulling Caroline's hair (this tactic won't work for Caro). Caro usually tries to block Cate from going anywhere/getting something but Little is pretty quick on her feet to get around her. I laugh; I yell; I realize it's life right now. And I am thankful.

Cate loves wide open spaces. She loves to escape from Sister and pretend that no one is watching her, and then she turns around to see who might really be watching her. And then she throws her neck back as far as she can balance her big head and laughs. I laugh watching her.

I don't diet.

I run. My eating philosophy has always been to eat relatively well and then run it off. I love to eat and I love to run so the combination has worked out well. But over the last year running has been pushed to the back burner over sleep, time with my girls, and work. So I decided about a month ago I had to have some help in getting more in shape.

I was introduced to Advocare by my friend Gail from Memphis and she has coached me through the last 22 days of my 24 Day Challenge. The 'diet' is foods I love - fruits, veggies, and lean meats - coupled with vitamin supplements, protein shakes, and energy kool-aid. It's made me feel great especially for my runs! I'm an AdvoCare believer and have shared my success with a few people but I wanted to do a post on the blog because Gail is coming over from Memphis on Sunday to talk to anyone who wants to kick start a weight loss plan. If that's you then join us! Email me at Lcnick at hotmail.
