I am pretty proud of our little missy. This weekend she nonchalantly recited her numbers from 1 to 10 (in Spanish). Now she may be ahead of the curve or behind the curve but whatever I was pretty impressed -- except that she likes to throw 'ocho' in there a few too many times.
This week at school is Color Week so I've tried to capture a pic each morning before we head out the door. Which doesn't seem to be as easy as I hoped but cute nonetheless.
Wed: Blue/Azul
Tuesday: Orange/Anaranjado

The director of Caroline's school recently sent a message highlighting that people who speak two languages can process certain words faster than others. (Scientific American Mind, January 2010) The study's researchers observed that children who know two languages more easily solve problems that involve misleading clues. Knowledge of a second language — even one learned in adolescence — affects how people read in their native tongue. The findings suggest that after learning a second language, people never look at words the same way again.
**It did not say anything about such student's parents being complete idiots for not understanding the teachers.
