Today marks the four years that I have been at HBG. The time has really flown and I feel very lucky, very blessed to have my job. When I think about the last four years I reflect on what a period of change Chris and I have gone through. We are now an (almost) single-income family as Chris fulfills his goal of earning his degree in education. We are now a family of three and I fall into that category of being a working mom which isn't nearly as fun as the role Chris gets to play by being so active in Caroline's life. The sacrifices are small in comparison how bad things could be. I am in an industry that has been deeply hurt by this economy; an industry that talented veterans and graduates contact me offering to work for free just to get their foot in the door. I have watched many friends unvoluntarily leave the industry and be forced to start over. For all of them, for all of us I hope that we have seen the worst of it.
I look forward to what the next four years hold in the life of my family and seeing the plans God has in store for us!

Who needs the beach
when you wear goggles in the bathtub!
We are getting back in the swing of things and this week Chris and Caroline both went back to school. Caroline started a new class with all of her favorite boyfriends (at least the non-Mississippi ones) and also passed a big milestone -- she asked to quit wearing a diaper to bed! We had been debating how to get her to do this but Sunday night she just told us she wasn't wearing one and hasn't looked back since!

Rosemary Beach
Rosemary Beach is truly charming and we are so lucky that we had the opportunity to go! It was a great week! The water, although seaweed-y, was oil free and because of our timing we pretty much had the beach and pools to ourselves! Caroline was a great little traveler (stopping for potty breaks fewer times than Chris)!
