Daddy-Daughter Date

It's hard not to be a little jealous on days like today where I get a call from Chris and Caroline who are enjoying the zoo together on a late afternoon. Especially when her end of the phone call goes like this...
"Mommy work?"
"Yes, I am at work."
"Mommy come here. {...pause...} Lub you."

I remind myself that we are very lucky to have flexible schedules during this crunch time with Chris in school even if I don't get a chance to enjoy all of the fun time together that they do.

Then sometimes I think it's probably best for me not to be with them all the time. Especially when Chris' end of the call goes like this...
"Does she have any other clothes in this bag?"
"No. Why?"
"Well, she got her shorts wet wading."
I say, "At the zoo?", while I am really cringing at the thought of her in zoo's 'water feature'.
"Yes... So I let her keep wading in just her diaper."

Yes, sometimes it's best if it's just daddy-daughter time.

SPRING!

Caroline and I had a great day at Cedar Hill Farm in Hernando where we rode the tractor train and saw the Easter bunny!

With her friends Carson and Asher...
