Mother's Day

Mother's Day seflishly may be my favorite holiday. And maybe that's because I am so utterly blessed to have an amazing mother, both of my grandmothers, my great-grandmother, a wonderful mother-in-law, and, most of all, be a mother to two precious daughters!

(And a great husband who remembered mother's day this year!). Our family can't hold surprises for too long so I got to open my gift on Saturday morning...chocolate!

In the midst of being thankful my heart is also saddened by hearing the news of the passing of the lady who was the only other mother that lived in our house. Although I never met her, her sense of style remains in our house -from the buttercream yellow paint to the pink rose bushes out front.

 I'm sure that eating a cockroach is mild compared to some of the challenges she had as she raised three boys!

 

 Another thank you to Chris who was up for a spontaneous trip to Memphis to watch the Grizzlies in Game 7 of the playoffs. It wasn't a happy ending but we had a great time!

10 Months

Wow, I can't believe our Cater Tater is 10 months old! She is...very curious, pulling up on anything and everything, has a stomach that is a bottomless pit, getting a fifth tooth, sleeping great, very attached to her mommy, loves crawling into the bathroom, is a super fast crawler, and is a very healthy, sweet baby girl. We are so blessed!
