Did Mr. Nick pull off the 1920's look or what?!? (When I wasn't stealing his hat.) We had a fun night out raising money for charities of Saline County.

Spring break days on the family compound.

I'm not one of those moms that wants my babies to be babies forever; I enjoy them at different stages of development. Caroline has grown this school year into a confident girl who is curious about the world around her especially words. I'm amazed to see her behavior in environments that are just her's, like school, because she exhibits positivity but doesn't like too much attention. And she remains to be my sweet Caroline.

Every day that I can run is a good day, even when it's 32 degrees and raining. Today I ran my sixth half-marathon and I hit my goal with 40 seconds to go for a personal best. The best part of this race's training has been having my two training partners who have held me accountable for 6 am runs during the week and for making reward breakfasts on Fridays. Although I think of myself as my competition in running it's great to have these guys who push to make me faster. 

Speaking of faster...kudos to my cousin Jake (right side of pic) who ran his first half and finished two minutes faster than me!

Now to sleep in every morning this week...
