Lots of progress made this weekend on the house!
Lucky for us Nana was working on trying a new chocolate cake recipe that she had ready for us try!

Happy two day week for us coming up -  Thanksgiving is right around the corner!
I can taste the turkey and dressing!

Mother of the Year

That award will not go out to me this year. Or any other year either. Lately it's been quite a challenge to balance a full-time (new) job, being a full-time mom, and dealing with all the nuances that come with moving into a new place! Sometimes I think that being a stay-at-home mom must be the hardest job in the world but on weeks like this one being a working mom ain't a breeze.

However, just waking up to two precious smiles every morning is so special and I realize how lucky Chris and I are. So no pictures for the blog this week but I hope that after a super productive weekend of working on the house that I can post some new house pictures. Happy weekend all!

Cate-y Cate

Caroline loves to call her little sis 'Cate-y Cate', and no one can make Cate laugh as much as Caroline can! I get afraid when Cate is crying that she is being physically harmed by Caro but she is (usually) laughing! Cate reached the 4 month mark on Monday. Milestones are that she can now 'reach' toward things that she wants and holds things up to her mouth. She loves to 'chew' on toys and her hands. She has also become more vocal. We are blessed that she is still sleeping through the night although she is about to outgrow her bassinet. Luckily we are moving this weekend so we can put her crib up...and (the best part) we won't all sleeping in the same room together!

I write this blog for myself more than anything; I realize that whatever I want to know to compare Caroline's stats and milestones to Cate's then I would have to look on the blog. I have been a terrible mom and never did a baby book or scrapbook for baby #1 so it is highly unlikely that baby #2 will have one! So the blog is my electronic baby book and it is also great to share our family's evolution with our support network.

Happy four months little one! It's been a hectic ride so far but you are an amazing trooper! Hoping that your hair decides to come in to keep your perfect head warm this winter!
Caroline at 4 months

P.S. Happy birthday to our dads - Poppa and Papaw - who celebrated over the last week!

P.S.S. So excited about closing on the new house tomorrow!!!
