The Stinky Feet Solution

When the pharmacist says that a medicine you are about to spend $100 on to force down your kid tastes like 'stinky feet' you just pray that it works. And so far it has!

 

Poor Cate has had a very itchy rash on her torso since the beginning of this year. One doctor said it was eczema so I treated it as such, but it kept getting worse and bothering her more. This was her two weeks ago:

 

Last week we saw a pediatric dermatologist who said that it is Folliculitis, inflammation of hair follicles. Ever heard of it?

For the visit, Cate brought baby Betsy along for the doc to examine the break-out of blue streaks across Betsy's head. It's could be from inflammation of a blue marker.

 

The stinky feet medicine is working - at least what she actually swallows versus what ends up in my hair!

Sunday: Documented

Sunday breakfast:

Chris has mastered the omelet. All made to order: one with milk and cheese, one with almond milk and no cheese, and one protein packed with spinach and tabasco (mine!). This has become a weekend expectation from his girls, and practice has made perfect! 

Lunch we took outside for our first family "pic-nick" while we supported Nene at her tennis tournament. What great weather God blessed us with! 

Dinner? Leftovers! Because by this point in the day I'm exhausted from keeping up with a five-year old and a toddler!

Stare Off

Poor Caroline woke up at 5 am and threw up in her bed. This was her first time - since her baby days - to be sick and needless to say, she didn't like it. And she didn't want to be unprepared if it happened again.

So from 5:30 am to 10:30 am she sat, by herself, in the bathroom staring at the toilet. She even put her DVD player on the toilet and watched a movie.

Too bad we are ending this day with a puking baby who is fighting sleep!
